Interviews

From time to time I am asked if I will do an Author Interview. The answer is, YES!

If you as a self-published or small-press-published author are interested in doing one, send me an email at chris [dot] solaas [at] yahoo [dot] com, and let me know. I will reply with a set of questions and we'll take it from there.
PLEASE PLEASE spell my name right. A misspelling will send your precious email to the Land of Misfit Toys, where it will reside in the Postmaster's Bag until he decides whether to just carry it on to Kris Kringle or feed it to the Abdominable Snowman (he did have abs, didn't he?)

Interview Procedure:
Make sure you format your request for Interview as follows:
Subject: Request for Interview: <author name> - <book title>
Book Blurb
Link to book on Goodreads or Amazon
Bio of Author
Photo of Author

NOTE: The subject needs to be formatted exactly like that, as I've got little Oompa Loompas that sort my mail for me, and they are persnickety about things like subjects. They will likely sort one that doesn't match that into a folder called Trash without telling me, while they will happily stick ones with a proper subject line into a folder called Interviews Pending.

CHARACTER INTERVIEWS:
Here's another exciting concept. I can interview one of your characters in your new book, to drum up interest. You certainly have my permission to copy these reviews, interviews, and character interviews to social media etc. as long as you give this site credit and a link back or something.

After all, my review or interview is my own IP, like your book is yours, but I'm invested in YOU and YOUR book being a success, so you can use what I do here to market and get your books seen. That's my purpose here.

Character Interview Procedure:
Make sure you format your request for a CHARACTER Interview as follows:
Subject: Request for Character Interview: <author name> - <book title> - <character name>
Book Blurb
Link to book on Goodreads or Amazon
Bio of Author
Photo of Author
Bio of Character
Graphic of Character, if you've got one.

I will respond with a set of questions and we'll take it from there. Again, make sure the subject is correct or the little orange people will start singing and we can't have that again.

FINAL NOTE:
Interviews take a lot less effort than reading and reviewing a 300+ page novel. I don't like to skim books, so reading a book takes time. I'm likely to do an interview in a more timely manner, so it's food for thought...
